Beyoncé’s Unreleased Tracks Taken from Vehicle in Atlanta Theft

A choreographer and dancer who were part of Beyoncé’s concert team in Atlanta faced a startling incident during their trip. After leaving their rental vehicle in a parking garage for about an hour to grab a meal, they returned to discover a shattered window and their suitcases missing.
What was stolen was far more valuable than just their personal belongings. A local police report indicated that the thief had also taken thumb drives containing unreleased tracks from Beyoncé. While the police have managed to identify a suspect, there have been no arrests reported as of now.
Details of the Theft
The break-in occurred on July 8, just two days before the start of Beyoncé’s four-night concert at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, part of her tour for the Grammy-winning album, Cowboy Carter.
Both Christopher Grant, the choreographer, and Diandre Blue, the dancer, contacted the police after dining in a restaurant near the venue. They had parked their rented Jeep Wagoneer in a close-by garage, leaving it temporarily while eating after 8 PM.
Among the items taken were two suitcases, a pair of sunglasses, Apple headphones, two laptops, and crucially, five thumb drives. According to the police report, the drives contained “watermarked music, unreleased music, footage plans for the show, and past and future set lists.”
During a 911 call, one of the victims expressed the urgency of retrieving their computers, stating, “They have my computers, and it’s really, really important information in there. I work with someone of high status, and I really need my computer.”
Grant told authorities that he was carrying personal sensitive information for Beyoncé, which added to their distress regarding the theft.
Police Investigation Updates
According to a recent news release, investigators have acquired an arrest warrant for a suspect but have not yet disclosed their identity. The individual is reportedly still at large.
A detail from the 911 call revealed that one of the stolen laptops had tracking software activated. Police followed the signals from both the laptop and the headphones to canvas a nearby area. While it’s uncertain what evidence this yielded, the report noted a red 2025 Hyundai Elantra as a vehicle of interest, in addition to two fingerprints lifted from the rented Jeep.
Additionally, security cameras captured the break-in incident at the parking garage, which may assist in the investigation.
Rising Car Theft Concerns in Atlanta
The incident serves as a stark reminder of rising vehicle thefts in Atlanta. Many residents and visitors have learned the hard way that thieves often target parked cars, particularly those containing visible luggage.
In 2024, Atlanta police reported a staggering 7,195 vehicle thefts, and to date in 2025, an additional 3,185 thefts have been noted. Just the week before Beyoncé’s unreleased music was reported stolen, authorities documented 105 incidents of theft from vehicles.
The police issued a warning to the public: “Take your bags, phone, and anything important with you every time you leave your car. Don’t give criminals an easy win.”
