Benz Hui, Beloved Hong Kong Actor, Passes Away at 76
Renowned Hong Kong actor Benz Hui has passed away at the age of 76. According to reports from TVB, he died on the morning of October 28 due to complications from cancer, specifically multiple organ failure. His loved ones were by his side during his final moments.
Details regarding his funeral will be shared later.
It was previously noted that Hui had been hospitalized in critical condition on the day prior.
In light of his hospitalization, various celebrities, including actors Bosco Wong and Michael Miu, visited him to offer support.
At an event that took place on Monday, actress Charmaine Sheh, who regarded Hui as a father figure, was visibly emotional when asked about him. After the event, she quickly went to the hospital to see him and even canceled a trip to Beijing.
Benz Hui’s career was nothing short of spectacular, with over 150 films and television series under his belt across more than 50 years. In 2013, he won the Best Supporting Actor award at the TVB Anniversary Awards for his performance in the comedy series Bounty Lady.
He was also a resident of Singapore, owning a home in Yishun valued at around S$4 million.
Benz Hui leaves behind his wife, Angeli Lung, and their daughter, Charmaine Hui.
