As she promotes her Netflix film *The Woman in Cabin 10*, Knightley shared with Deadline that she didn’t realize many had recommended boycotting the series in light of J.K. Rowling’s controversial statements regarding trans rights.
When asked about the boycott, Knightley stated, “I was not aware of that, no. I’m very sorry. We are all living in a time where we need to figure out how to coexist, right? Everyone has different opinions, and I hope mutual respect can be found.”
