Siddharth Shares His Perspective

Siddharth made it clear that, contrary to popular belief, most of Zubeen Garg’s recorded works—including approximately 38,000 songs—are owned by various music labels and production companies.

“Most of Zubeen da’s hits were created before my involvement. He often expressed his regret about how he was financially undervalued, while labels raked in substantial profits. This is verifiable through those companies,” Siddharth shared.

He continued by stating that Zubeen initiated steps to secure ownership of his newer works by founding Zubeen Garg Music LLP in 2021, where Siddharth was a partner. Reportedly, Zubeen held a 60% share in the company.

“So far, the LLP has generated a modest income. The funds remain untouched in the company account. I see it as my responsibility to ensure his family receives their rightful share,” Siddharth added.

He also mentioned that any royalties earned by Zubeen as a composer or lyricist were transferred directly to his personal account, which will now be forwarded to the singer’s widow, Garima Garg.
