Yusuf/Cat Stevens Delays North America Book Tour Over Visa Issues

Yusuf/Cat Stevens has officially postponed his North American book tour because of ongoing visa complications.

Tour Postponement Details

Earlier this month, the renowned singer-songwriter alerted fans that his journey—which promotes his upcoming memoir, Cat on the Road to Findout—was facing “serious jeopardy.” This tour was set to commence in Philadelphia on October 2, with additional performances planned in major cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Yusuf’s Statement

“Waiting months for visa approvals, we held out as long as we could,” Yusuf expressed in a statement. “However, at this point, the production logistics required for my show cannot be arranged in time. I am truly upset! Especially for my fans who have purchased tickets and made travel arrangements to see me perform.”

He continued, “North American audiences may still have a chance to catch the tour if visa approvals come through. Those dates would be far off due to other travel commitments, but I hope fans will have the opportunity to jump on the Peace Train route in the future. Meanwhile, tour delays won’t impact the book—you’ll still be able to enjoy it since books don’t require visas!”

Yusuf’s memoir made its debut in the U.K. on September 18 and is set to be released in North America on October 7. The tour, titled “Cat On The Road To Findout — An Evening Of Tales, Tunes, And Other Mysteries,” will feature a discussion on the book as well as performances of his beloved songs.
