Yungblud Unveils Captivating Documentary ‘Are You Ready, Boy?’ in London

## Yungblud Premieres His Feature-Length Documentary
Yungblud made a striking appearance in London’s Leicester Square for the world premiere of *Yungblud: Are You Ready, Boy?*, his latest feature-length documentary, which is set to hit cinemas worldwide later this month.
### The Premiere Event
Hosted by *Rock Sound*, the event took place at the Vue West End, with the British singer, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, accompanied by his parents, Justin and Samantha Harrison. Alongside them were friends, crew members, and the film’s creative team, including director Paul Dugdale. Special guests such as music icon Joan Armatrading, *Anne With an E* star Amybeth McNulty, rising artist Nieve Ella, The Molotovs, and Louis Starkey added to the excitement of the evening.
### Yungblud’s Reflections
On the red carpet, Yungblud shared his thoughts on the film’s creation. He described the process as “crazy” and revealed that his top choice for director had always been Dugdale due to his understanding of storytelling with “truth and authenticity.”
“You have to be willing to show the uncomfortable and the scary,” he noted. “In a world obsessed with TikTok and Instagram, this film emphasizes imagination and the importance of letting humanity and insecurity shine. More of that is needed for genuine connections.”
### Insights on the Journey
He explained that the documentary encapsulates the effort required to create his album *IDOLS*. “The aim of working at Hansa Studios was about letting go of a pedestal and engaging with the legends,” he expressed. “It’s a narrative of friendship and creativity. My team and I generate wild ideas, and they come to life against the odds. Being here in Leicester Square feels incredible.”
### A Snapshot of Creativity
Filmed at Berlin’s renowned Hansa Studios—the birthplace of iconic albums like David Bowie’s *Heroes* and U2’s *Achtung Baby*—the documentary embodies personal insights, the creative process, and rock-and-roll chaos, all set within a culturally rich city.
“I wanted to craft a film that genuinely reflects this moment in time, particularly around the launch of my most ambitious album to date,” Yungblud stated about the project. “Berlin exudes bold, unfiltered truths. Every visit to Hansa is iconic; the history lingers in the silences and the atmosphere. You stand amidst legends and ponder, ‘Who am I, and what will I leave behind?’”
### Behind the Camera
Directed by the acclaimed Paul Dugdale—who has been recognized with three Grammy nominations as well as Emmy and BAFTA awards—*Yungblud: Are You Ready, Boy?* features 12 live performances from *IDOLS* and is scheduled to screen in 30 countries, including 150 cinemas in the UK and 500 across the US.
The documentary will be shown globally on August 20th and 24th through Trafalgar Releasing. For more details about screening times and cinema locations, check online.
