When questioned about her feelings toward being nominated without winning, she expressed that it doesn’t bother her. Drawing inspiration from the Bhagavad Gita, she stated, “As much as I have understood the Bhagwat Geeta, what Lord Krishna says to Arjun is true… I have stopped seeking validation from anyone.”

Yami’s breakthrough role in *Vicky Donor* earned her accolades; however, awards like the Filmfare and IIFA have eluded her since then. She emphasized valuing audience feedback over awards, saying, “If my audience loves me, what greater recognition can I ask for?”
