Filmmaker Amar Kaushik recently addressed the speculation surrounding Alia Bhatt’s involvement in the upcoming film Chamunda, a part of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU). In conversation with Filmfare, he noted that the scripts for their projects aren’t specifically tailored to the cast.

When asked about Alia’s role in the film, Kaushik remarked, “everything is on the timeline.” He emphasized that when the time comes for an announcement, it will be clear. “We focus initially on crafting the story, with casting considerations coming later. The narrative is paramount,” he stated.

Kaushik also mentioned the goal of elevating the standards within the MHCU. He reassured fans, “The audience can expect an elevated experience in upcoming films. We aim to provide quality entertainment and appreciate feedback from our viewers.” He highlights the importance of honesty in filmmaking, similar to what was achieved with their previous hit, Stree.

Alia Bhatt is set to star in the action thriller Alpha directed by Shiv Rawail, portraying a commanding officer in an elite women’s combat unit. This film will hit the screens on December 25.
