Vijay’s Plea for Help
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), actor Vijay can be seen speaking from a caravan as a crowd surrounds him. As an ambulance maneuvers through the gathering, a cadre informs him of a missing 9-year-old girl.
Vijay, visibly concerned, urges attendees to help find the girl named Ashmika. “Brothers, please find her. Police, sir, please help, sir,” he appeals before wrapping up his speech.
Legal Action Following the Event
Following the incident, Vijay and TVK have approached the Madras High Court, seeking an independent investigation into the stampede, alleging it could be part of a conspiracy. Reports indicate the court may consider the urgent motion soon, despite being closed for the week due to holidays.
Additionally, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Deputy Chief Minister, mentioned that an inquiry led by a retired judge is expected in Karur to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stampede.
