VFX Supervisor Accused of Extortion in Prabhas' The Raja Saab Production

Insights from producer TG Vishwa Prasad about VFX challenges on The Raja Saab

Since the initial promotional content for The Raja Saab was unveiled, it has faced criticism regarding its visual effects. There have been considerable delays, with the release now pushed to Sankranthi 2026. In an interview, producer TG Vishwa Prasad shared his experience with a troublesome VFX supervisor.

Prabhas’ horror comedy film has been delayed several times.

Producer Highlights VFX Issues

In the interview, Vishwa expressed concerns over the VFX supervisor’s conduct. “I can point out individuals who caused significant hindrances. This supervisor had us delay our movie because he didn’t complete any work until October 2024, whereas we were aiming for an April 2025 release,” he stated, though he refrained from revealing the supervisor’s name. Speculations on social media suggest it could be Kamal Kannan.

The producer recounted that this supervisor had previously troubled other projects and was recently dismissed from SS Rajamouli’s SSMB 29. “He didn’t handle a single scene and retained everything with him, while still demanding a monthly fee for personal staff. When confronted, he threatened to resign,” stated Vishwa. He added that the supervisor’s focus had shifted to Pushpa 2, leaving them in a difficult spot.
