Unveiling the Revival of Ballads with Saiyaara: Insights from Faheem, Arslan, Tanishk & Mohit Suri
Reviving the Charm of Ballads
The soundtrack of *Saiyaara* has made waves, with tracks still resonating with audiences worldwide months post-launch. We spoke with the creators of this memorable score who shared their insights on its journey. Composer Tanishk Bagchi remarked, “This genre was missing from the industry. *Saiyaara* revitalized the essence of rock and ballads. I’m now striving to write even better songs.”
Arslan Nizami, the co-composer and a former civil engineer, shared how *Saiyaara* transformed his life. He said, “Music chose me; I didn’t choose it. Though my father was a singer, I never anticipated a career in music, but it felt unjust not to give it a try.”
Faheem Abdullah, who not only co-composed the title track but also lent his voice to it, sees this film as a pivotal moment. “I’ve always loved singing, but I never considered it could be my career. Post-*Saiyaara*, everything has changed. I’m a private person, and this sudden attention is quite new for me,” he chuckled.
Surprising Popularity
Director Mohit Suri, well-known for his soulful soundtracks, expressed his astonishment at the film’s social media impact. “Many believe the music shouldn’t have received such attention, but it’s clear that tomorrow’s trends are waiting to be embraced,” he concluded.
