To celebrate the return of Topshop, slated for a grand relaunch next month, the fashion label has teamed up with model Cara Delevingne as the “face of its bold new era.”
Topshop remarked that Delevingne was selected for her ability to “embody the fearless spirit and unique style of London,” the city that also birthed the brand. They emphasized that her “unmistakable energy and cross-cultural influence” would enhance this new chapter.
Michelle Wilson, managing director at Topshop, expressed, “Cara perfectly symbolizes the Topshop essence—bold, creative, and unapologetically herself.”
She added, “This collaboration signifies more than just a campaign; it represents our intent as we reintroduce Topshop to the world. We’re merging cultural relevance, design credibility, and a fresh energy that resonates with contemporary fashion sensibilities.”
Cara Delevingne Leads Topshop’s New Direction
In addition to leading the relaunch, Delevingne has curated a 30-piece edit for the autumn/winter 2025 collection that reflects the “shared aesthetic of Cara and Topshop: confident, individual, and distinctly modern.”
This exclusive collection will be available on topshop.com starting August 16, showcasing Delevingne’s unique “London edge” with refined tailoring, bold outerwear, and redefined denim staples. The collection boasts a monochromatic palette, enriched with touches of deep avocado green.
Key items include a striking black-and-white faux shearling coat, an 80s-inspired fitted PU jacket, and revamped versions of Topshop’s classic denim styles, such as the Joni and Jamie jeans.
Reflecting on her collaboration, Delevingne remarked, “As a London girl, Topshop was synonymous with fashion that was fun, fearless, and filled with potential. Returning to Topshop now is more than just coming back—it’s about launching something fresh.”
She continued, “This collection emphasizes embracing your style, your story, and feeling empowered to express that every day.”
Topshop indicated that this collection marks just the beginning of their partnership, with a capsule collection already underway for the 2026/27 season. This upcoming collection will focus on a “sustainable, inclusive, and forward-thinking vision for fashion, emphasizing quality materials and designs.”
Founded in 1964, Topshop also hinted at future “high-profile collaborations” and “expressive fashion moments” as it reestablishes itself in the UK fashion landscape.
This announcement follows Topshop’s earlier declaration of its return to the catwalk after a seven-year break, with a joint showcase alongside menswear brand Topman scheduled for August. The specifics of the location remain confidential, but Topshop has noted it will be a “landmark London location,” featuring a “see now, buy now” selection of autumn/winter 2025 pieces.
