The Temper Trap Announces Intimate Australian Tour as Part of Comeback

The Temper Trap is making a triumphant return with an intimate tour along Australia’s east coast.

After recently releasing their first new music in nine years, the band is set to perform three shows. They’ll take the stage at The Princess Theatre in Brisbane on Friday, October 24th, then head to Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre on Saturday, October 25th, before wrapping up at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Sunday, October 26th.

Tickets will become available to the general public on Wednesday, September 17th at 2pm AEST, with pre-sale access for Frontier Members starting on Monday, September 15th at 2pm AEST.

This tour announcement follows the release of the comeback single “Lucky Dimes,” which marked their first new music after a long hiatus.

Featuring production and co-writing by Grammy-nominated hitmaker Styalz Fuego, known for his work with Troye Sivan and others, “Lucky Dimes” promises to be the first of many new tracks.

“It’s good to know that nine years later, we still have something to express,” said frontman Dougy Mandagi. “Creating this record has been a true joy, and we’re excited to share it. It’s about writing the next chapter, not reliving the past.”

The release coincides with a resurgence of interest in The Temper Trap’s earlier work. Their classic “Sweet Disposition” recently secured the No. 11 spot in triple j’s Hottest 100 Australian Songs countdown, boosted by remixes from popular artists like John Summit and Lost Frequencies.
