The Neighbourhood’s Exciting Return
The Neighbourhood is set to release a new album, *(((((ultraSOUND))))) on November 14 through Warner Records. After a three-year break, they reunited in November 2024, bringing fresh energy into their music.
New Music Preview
Before the album launch, the band has already shared three tracks: “Private,” “OMG,” and “Lovebomb.” “Private” features a catchy drum break from GarageBand, with vocals recorded using frontman Jesse Rutherford’s phone. On the other hand, “Lovebomb” stems from a unique loop created by Jono and Abels.
Themes and Inspirations
According to the band’s press release, *(((((ultraSOUND))))) signifies a powerful return to their musical roots. The album draws inspiration from Brit-pop while staying true to their signature California indie sound. Lyrically, it delves into themes of heartbreak, disillusionment, and emotional vulnerability, showcasing the band’s artistic evolution.
