The Beatles Tease ‘Anthology 4’ with Rare ‘I’ve Just Seen a Face’ Track

## The Beatles’ Upcoming Anthology Release

The Beatles have provided a sneak peek into their anticipated *Anthology 4* by revealing an unreleased version of their classic track “I’ve Just Seen a Face.”

### Recording History

This particular take was captured at Abbey Road Studios (in Studio Two) on June 14, 1965—over six decades ago. The band laid down six takes of this song, with this vibrant third take showcasing their spontaneity before the final version was selected for the *Help!* album.

### A Glimpse into the Studio

“I’ve Just Seen a Face (Take 3)” begins with unfiltered audio from the studio. John Lennon humorously comments on Lonnie Donegan, a Scottish skiffle musician who influenced the band, suggesting he would have regretted missing out on singing this track. The take also features Lennon missing his cue at the outset, adding a charming, authentic touch.
