Thamma’s Day 3 Box Office Hits ₹72 Crore, Surpassing Baaghi 4

Thamma Worldwide Box Office Update

Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’s latest film, *Thamma*, has shown impressive box office performance. Despite experiencing minor drops in collections after its strong Diwali debut, the film is projected to perform well over the weekend, bolstered by positive audience feedback.

Thamma features Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in a horror comedy.

As of Thursday night, *Thamma* accumulated a net of ₹55.10 crore (₹66 crore gross) in India. It launched with an impressive ₹24 crore on Diwali and maintained good momentum with domestic collections of ₹18.60 crore and ₹12.50 crore over the next two days. Though international earnings haven’t matched local success due to the lack of Diwali observances abroad, the film has still managed to pull in nearly $700k overseas. This makes its total worldwide earnings reach ₹72 crore after just three days.

Performance Against Competitors

*Thamma* has now outperformed the total collections of *Maa* (₹52 crore) and *Baaghi 4* (₹69 crore). As it moves beyond the weekday slump, the film is set to seize the momentum in the upcoming weekend, aiming for a compelling finish as it enters its extended opening phase. Its upcoming performance could also eclipse the lifetime earnings of other horror comedies within the Maddock Films universe, such as *Bhediya* and *Munjya*.

About the Film

*Thamma* stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna in unique roles as betaals, the Indian version of vampires, as they team up to thwart the plans of Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character, who harbors aspirations of world domination. As part of Maddock Films’ broader horror comedy universe, the film connects with previous hits like *Stree*, *Bhediya*, and *Munjya*. Critics have largely praised its entertaining plot and performances.
