Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror comedy, Thamma, made a significant impact at the box office on its opening day. Premiering during the Diwali holiday, the film garnered an estimated ₹25 crore net in India. Its worldwide collection also proved robust, reaching a total of ₹32 crore.

According to Maddock Films, Thamma earned ₹25.11 crore net (around ₹30 crore gross) domestically on its opening day. Although initial showings saw low attendance with about 15-16% occupancy, numbers surged to over 40% in the evening, thanks to positive reviews.

Internationally, the film’s performance was modest, raking in just under $250K, which aligns with expectations since Diwali isn’t a holiday worldwide. Despite this, Thamma’s overall first-day collection ranked among the highest for Indian films this year, surpassing notable titles like Saiyaara, Stree, and Bhediya.
