A Shift in Bollywood: Embracing Women in Their 30s

Tamannaah Bhatia recently highlighted the film industry’s improving attitude towards women over 30. She noted that age is becoming a celebrated feature rather than a drawback, especially regarding role offerings.

In a recent interview, Tamannaah Bhatia praised the evolving portrayal of women in their thirties in films, sharing her own experiences and a 10-year career plan.

Tamannaah’s Journey in Acting

During an interview with Filmfare, Tamannaah reflected on her career path, mentioning she had a “10-year plan” when she began. She expressed that the industry is now more open to crafting complex, mature roles for women in this age group.

“Definitely, there are more parts being written for women of this age,” she stated. “When I first started, I thought I’d work until my thirties, then settle down.” Over time, she discovered that the industry was starting to develop richer characters for women, which led to a broader acceptance of age.

She remarked, “Ageing is so awesome. I don’t understand why there’s a fear surrounding it.” Her sentiments reflect a growing trend—celebrating maturity and the variety of experiences it brings.

Upcoming Projects for Tamannaah

Tamannaah is set to star alongside Shahid Kapoor in Vishal Bhardwaj’s action thriller, *O’ Romeo*, a gritty gangster drama expected in late 2025 or early 2026. The film also features actress Triptii Dimri.

She will also collaborate with Sidharth Malhotra in *Vvan—Force of the Forest*, a mythological thriller produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF, with filming starting in June 2025 and a release targeted for May 2026.

Moreover, Tamannaah is reportedly cast as the wife of former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria in a biopic-style action film within Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe. Speculation surrounds her involvement in Anees Bazmee’s sequel *No Entry 2*, which will star Varun Dhawan.
