Sycco Unveils Exciting Tour Dates Across Australia
Sycco has recently revealed a 13-date tour across Australia, coinciding with the launch of her new EP, Home is Where The Zorb Is.
Part 1 of the EP is currently available through Future Classic, while Part 2 is set to be released on August 22nd.
Tour Details
The tour kicks off on Thursday, September 11th, at Fun Time Pony in Canberra. It will feature performances in various intimate venues and regional locations, including Wollongong, Fremantle, Castlemaine, and Hobart.
Musical Style
This new EP follows Sycco’s debut album, Zorb, which won a J Award. The tracks are crafted in collaboration with LA producer Chrome Sparks and combine elements of psychedelic pop with introspective lyrics and compelling rhythms.
Triple j music director Nick Findlay praised the collection, noting it “perfectly captures Sycco’s uniquely innovative approach to songwriting and production.” He applauded her as “one of Australia’s best young artists.”
Song Themes
Hailing from Naarm, Sycco—whose real name is Sash McLeod—expressed her sentiment regarding the EP, stating, “I wasn’t ready to let Zorb go. There is more to be said.” The new songs encapsulate a range of emotions reminiscent of Zorb, such as regret, yearning, and the pulse of club beats.
