Swara Bhasker, a prominent figure in Bollywood, has been vocal about pursuing roles without hesitation. In a recent chat, she recounted her attempt to secure a part alongside Salman Khan in a film directed by Aditya Chopra. Unfortunately, Chopra turned down her request politely.
Swara Reflects on Her Experience
Swara explained her approach to seeking roles, recalling, “I told him, ‘I think, sir, you should cast me; I would make a very good wrestler.’ He responded, ‘No, I don’t think so, Swara.’ I accepted his decision. It’s important for outsiders like myself to be proactive. Everything I’ve earned, I’ve done through hard work.”
She further added, “I’m generally polite, but when it comes to asking for work, I have no shame. It’s essential to express interest. I always say, ‘I would love to work with you, please consider me.’ However, since becoming pregnant, I haven’t actively sought roles.”
Though Swara didn’t land a role in *Sultan*, she did play a supporting character in the 2015 film *Prem Ratan Dhan Payo*.
