Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari: Day 6 Box Office Performance Surpasses Deva
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari box office collection day 6: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s film performs steadily, surpasses Deva’s domestic collection
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari box office collection day 6: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy is currently facing intense competition from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 at the box office. Despite mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike, the film has struggled to reach the ₹50 crore mark domestically.
Box Office Performance
As per reports, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari commenced with a decent opening, raking in ₹9.25 crore on its first day. On its second day, it managed to earn ₹5.5 crore despite being a weekday. The weekend brought a slight rise in earnings, with collections of ₹7.5 crore and ₹7.75 crore, respectively. However, on its first Monday, the film saw a significant drop of 58.06%, bringing in only ₹3.25 crore.
On its first Tuesday, the film showed resilience, earning ₹2.65 crore. After six days, the total domestic collection stands at ₹35.9 crore, surpassing the haul of Shahid Kapoor’s Deva which collected ₹34.37 crore.
The film has likely benefitted from reduced ticket prices. A special one-day offer was introduced, allowing viewers to enjoy the film for just ₹99. Dharma Movies promoted this deal on Instagram, stating, “Family time feels better at the movies! 💖 Enjoy #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari and experience pure joy at ₹99 only.” Furthermore, a ‘Buy One Get One Free’ deal was also offered earlier to draw in audiences.
About the Film
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari features a talented cast including Rohit Saraf and Sanya Malhotra, with supporting roles from Maneish Paul, Abhinav Sharma, and Akshay Oberoi. The storyline revolves around Sunny (Varun Dhawan), who faces heartbreak when his girlfriend Ananya (Sanya Malhotra) yields to familial pressure and decides to marry the affluent Vikram (Rohit Saraf).
In turn, Vikram leaves behind Tulsi (Janhvi Kapoor). Both Sunny and Tulsi, nursing their heartaches, band together to crash the wedding of their former partners in hopes of rekindling their lost loves. The question remains—can they succeed in their efforts? Although the film has faced critiques for its predictability, Varun’s comedic timing and vibrant performance have received acclaim.
