About the Film
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, “Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari” features a star-studded cast including Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf, and Sanya Malhotra. The film, backed by Karan Johar, has drawn criticism for lacking depth in its storyline.
The plot revolves around Sunny, played by Varun Dhawan, who faces heartbreak when his girlfriend, Ananya, opts to marry wealthy Vikram due to family pressure. In their sorrow, he and Tulsi, portrayed by Janhvi Kapoor, conspire to disrupt the wedding of their ex-loves in an attempt to win them back.
A review highlights a critical issue with the screenplay, stating, “The core idea of the film, which suggests love should not succumb to family expectations, is overshadowed by underdeveloped family dynamics, which heavily impact the romantic narratives.”
