Sunita Ahuja Discusses Financial Dynamics with Govinda

In a recent podcast appearance, Sunita Ahuja expressed her concerns regarding her husband, Bollywood actor Govinda. She revealed that despite Govinda’s willingness to spend lavishly on religious rituals, he is reluctant to support her financially for her charitable endeavor of building an animal shelter.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja got married in 1987.

Sunita’s Frustration with Govinda’s Circle

During her conversation with Paras S Chhabra, Sunita noted that Govinda needs to reassess his relationships. She mentioned that people around him often fill his ears with negativity about her. She stated, “Mere baare mein sab uske kaan bharte rehte hain,” translating to “everyone keeps filling his ears against me.” Sunita believes this leads to misunderstandings and friction between them.

She expressed her desire to create an animal shelter and an old age home, stating she would do so independently without financial aid from Govinda. “I will not take even a single rupee from Govinda because he won’t give money to me, but only his chamchas (bootlickers),” she said. This reflects her commitment to her philanthropic goals despite the challenges.

The Journey of Govinda and Sunita

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s romance began long before his rise to fame. Sunita, who is related to Govinda’s family, met him when they were both quite young. They tied the knot on March 11, 1987, in a low-key ceremony as Govinda’s career was just blossoming.

The couple initially kept their marriage private until after the birth of their first child. They are proud parents to two children—Tina, who has appeared in movies, and Yashvardhan, who is prepping for his Bollywood debut.
