Soni Razdan Discusses Her Choice Against Edgy OTT Content
Insights from Soni Razdan on her choices in the digital landscape
For Soni Razdan, life has taken unexpected turns, transforming her idea of a quieter phase into one of intense engagement. The grandmother of Raha, daughter of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, reflects, “I thought I’d be taking it easy by now, but instead, it’s the busiest chapter of my life.”
As she juggles her acting career alongside family life, Soni, now 68, admits her plate is overflowing. “There’s no such thing as being idle anymore,” she chuckles, highlighting her involvement with her grandchild Raha. Despite receiving numerous offers, Soni has mostly steered clear of OTT projects.
“I prefer to avoid OTT because the themes resonate unfavorably with my comfort zone. I’m not drawn to content that is overly edgy or explicit,” Soni shares candidly about her choices in the digital space.
Her decision isn’t based on resistance but rather on maintaining artistic integrity. “It’s about recognizing where I fit as an artist. I set certain boundaries, and unless something truly significant comes along, I’m content to remain distanced from that realm,” she explains.
