Sonakshi Sinha recently shared a glimpse into her new home in Mumbai, which she and her husband, Zaheer Iqbal, purchased prior to their marriage. The property, still undergoing some renovations, has been a work in progress over the last nine months.

In a recent vlog, Sonakshi and Zaheer opened up about their home-buying experience. The couple mentioned that they managed this significant milestone even before tying the knot, making it a special part of their journey together.

During the vlog, Sonakshi emphasized that the interior designers had been working diligently on the house. She expressed excitement as they walked through various spaces, including the kitchen and living room. Zaheer humorously remarked that they initiated purchasing properties long before their wedding.

Regarding some of the planning details, Zaheer shared that they conducted a ‘puja’ at the house just ten days before their marriage. They credited their interior designer, Payal Makwana, for skillfully managing renovations in a building where she had previously worked on multiple flats.

The couple’s vision for their new residence also emerged during the conversation. Zaheer joked about wanting a sink that would automatically shut off and insisted on furniture that could withstand spontaneous dancing. Sonakshi, on the other hand, envisioned a clean, white aesthetic.

Their Love Story

Sonakshi and Zaheer were in a relationship for seven years before tying the knot in June. They first met at a party hosted by Salman Khan. Zaheer made his debut in the film “Notebook,” produced by Salman, and the two starred together in the 2022 film “Double XL.”

The couple married in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai house and later hosted a reception attended by notable celebrities, showcasing their close ties within the industry.
