Sistic Site Fails Just Before My Chemical Romance Ticket Sales Launch

On Friday morning (July 11), long-time fans of emo music came alive as they rushed to purchase tickets for My Chemical Romance’s highly anticipated concert in Singapore.
However, just minutes before ticket sales were set to begin, around 9:50 AM, the ticketing platform Sistic encountered a major outage, displaying a “Bad Gateway” error.
This outage affected numerous users, including myself. My access to Sistic’s website was delayed long past the 10 AM starting time, with successful entry not occurring until 10:07 AM and navigating to the ticket page at 11:44 AM.
Users took to social media platforms, such as X, to voice their frustrations over the outages and extended queuing times that, for many, lasted over an hour.
One user lamented, “Site crashes 30 minutes before sales open. Refresh hell. One hour queue time. Unavailable. I’m not okay,” reflecting the sentiments of many.
A spokesperson from Sistic commented, “We’re aware that some fans had brief access issues during the initial ticket sales. The disruption was short and impacted only a portion of users. Most transactions were completed successfully, and the majority of fans secured their seats. We appreciate the patience and excitement shown by our users, and ensuring system stability remains a top priority.”

Fan Rachel Yohannan was one of the lucky ones who successfully secured tickets.
The 31-year-old noted that she and her friend prepared by setting up two devices each for the ticket sale.
Yohannan shared, “The shortest wait time between us was just 12 minutes, which wasn’t too bad compared to others,” adding that her initial attempt to secure tickets failed. Her friend attempted a purchase but mistakenly bought tickets for the wrong section.
“I decided to give it another shot on my second device and was successful. We were genuinely worried about missing out, but luck seemed to favor us twice,” she said with a chuckle.

As of now, all tickets for My Chemical Romance’s upcoming concert in Singapore have completely sold out. The event is scheduled for April 28, 2026, marking nearly two decades since their last performance in 2007.
Concert promoter Midas Promotions announced, “For those who could not secure their tickets, please stay tuned for further updates and announcements!”
