After viewing *The Ba***ds of Bollywood*, Tharoor took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts with Aryan and Shah Rukh Khan.
Following his enthusiastic review of the Netflix series, which also marked Aryan’s directorial debut, one social media user made a comment suggesting Tharoor was involved in “paid reviews.” Unwilling to let the attack go unnoticed, Tharoor crafted a firm response.
On Monday, he wrote, “I’m not for sale, my friend. No opinion I express has ever been paid for, in cash or in kind.”
Earlier on Sunday, Tharoor mentioned that watching Aryan Khan’s show had deeply affected him, labeling it “absolute OTT GOLD.” He shared that he had been dealing with a cold and that his family encouraged him to watch the series as a form of entertainment.
“I’ve been battling a cold & cough and canceled engagements for two days. My staff and my sister, @smitatharoor, persuaded me to turn my eyes away from the computer part of the time towards a @NetflixIndia series,” he said. He then offered high praise for Aryan’s work, highlighting its captivating nature.
Tharoor continued by commending the sharp writing, fearless direction, and audacious satire that *The Ba***ds of Bollywood* delivers. He concluded his post with, “You’ve delivered a masterpiece: ‘TheBa***dsOfBollywood’ is brilliant! @iamsrk: from one father to another, you must be so proud.”
