SEVENTEEN Fans Rally with Trucks to HYBE Over Album Shipment Delays

Fans of SEVENTEEN, known as Carats, have expressed their frustration toward the group’s management, Pledis Entertainment. Allegations of neglect towards the artists have stirred significant discontent within the fandom.
To show their solidarity, Carats orchestrated a protest by dispatching trucks to the headquarters of HYBE. The event kicked off on June 24 at 10 AM KST (6:30 AM IST), where fans rallied in support of the group.
Carats Protest at HYBE Headquarters
Organized near the main entrance of HYBE’s Yongsan building, the protest aims to safeguard SEVENTEEN’s rights. Fans are advocating for urgent actions, calling for transparent reports on how their beloved artists are being protected and demanding timely accountability from the agency.
They also encouraged fellow Carats globally to join the cause, emphasizing a collective interest in the well-being of SEVENTEEN.
The trucks are adorned with LED banners displaying messages such as, “We’re even fighting for the right to rest. We’ll challenge this to the very end,” and “Fans have protected the group, while the company turned its back.”
Reasons Behind the Protest
The protest stems from delays in receiving the physical version of SEVENTEEN’s latest album, HAPPY BURSTDAY. Fans were dismayed when HYBE LABELS unexpectedly postponed the album’s shipment and ended pre-orders sooner than anticipated, which they believe hindered promotional activities.
This led to heightened frustrations among fans, who accused the agency of undermining the group’s success. Additionally, they criticized HYBE for being insufficient in taking action against malicious commenters targeting SEVENTEEN, feeling that their artists’ welfare was being neglected.
In response, Carats are demanding accountability, asking questions like, “SEVENTEEN’s six-month tour revenue ranks third globally at 167 billion won. How much of that was directed towards protecting the artists’ rights?”
