## Setchu’s New Venture into Fragrance
Japanese brand Setchu, known for its artistry, made a notable appearance at the Pitti Uomo menswear trade fair in January. Now, it expands its presence to the fragrance and beauty sector at Fragranze, an event organized by Pitti Immagine.
### A Unique Fragrance Collection
Satoshi Kuwata, the visionary behind Setchu and the proud recipient of the 2023 LVMH Prize, is set to unveil his inaugural fragrance line. Pitti Immagine shared this exciting news on Thursday, highlighting that Kuwata will showcase five distinct creations. These fragrances beautifully blend Eastern and Western influences, aiming to evoke familiar aromas and deep-seated memories.
### Crafting Intimate Experiences
Kuwata expressed his desire to encapsulate a profound, intimate scent associated with personal care. “I wanted to capture this intimate, deep scent that accompanies each of us in the ritual of body care, when there is time and no rush,” he remarked. His goal is to evoke feelings of freshness and purity, reminiscent of childhood memories. He delved into the scents tied to Eastern and Western bathing traditions to help rekindle these sensations of comfort and care.
### Collaboration with Fragrance Experts
The fragrance line has been crafted in collaboration with renowned perfumer Julie Massé from the fragrance house Mane. This exciting collection will be showcased for the first time in September at Pitti Fragranze in Florence.
