Sean Combs Juror Claims Hotel Video Had Minimal Impact on Case

Sean Combs Juror Claims Hotel Video Had Minimal Impact on Case

## Juror Speaks Out Post-Criminal Trial Verdict

An alternate juror from Sean Combs’ criminal trial for sex trafficking and racketeering has shared insights after the mogul’s recent acquittal on the more serious charges. He mentioned that the footage showing Combs allegedly attacking Casandra “Cassie” Ventura at the InterContinental Hotel didn’t significantly impact the context of the charges against him.

> “I mean, it was a very bad video,” the 37-year-old man, who works for the United Nations in the counter-terrorism office, told CNN anchor Laura Coates. He noted, however, that Combs “wasn’t charged with domestic violence.”

### Juror’s Perspective on the Evidence

The juror, who remained anonymous, stated that he would likely have arrived at a similar verdict as the eight men and four women who determined Combs’ fate. “I understood the final verdict,” he explained, sharing that he took over 350 pages of notes during the trial. He reflected, “Looking back at the evidence, I probably would have reached the same conclusion as the other jurors… I think there was always a little bit of doubt.”

### Trial Aftermath and Combs’ Reaction

On Wednesday morning, Combs prayed in gratitude after being acquitted of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking involving Ventura and another girlfriend, referred to as “Jane.” Even though the founder of Bad Boy Entertainment avoided a life sentence, he still faces possible jail time after being found guilty on two counts related to transportation for prostitution.

The juror, though not part of the deliberation group, was the first member of the jury pool to provide reflections after witnessing eight weeks of intense testimony from 34 witnesses.

### Controversial Video Evidence

He also discussed the controversial “freak-off” videos featuring Combs’ girlfriends with male escorts. Both the prosecution and Combs’ defense showcased explicit videos, although the juror noted they presented different clips.

Struggling to articulate his thoughts, he described the videos as “riveting,” though some of them featured elements that he found “tame.” He remarked, “They were very graphic, but I think overall, it was looking at it from one side. It was definitely riveting and eye-opening.”

### Mixed Opinions on Video Content

Yet, the juror appeared to have mixed feelings later when he stated some videos, while showcasing sexual activity, did not exhibit anything “too graphic.” He added, “It didn’t seem forced. It was actually, like, pretty tame. It was just a lot of rubbing oil.”

The prosecution argued that Combs pressured Ventura and Jane into participating in “freak-offs,” where they engaged in sexual acts with male escorts while he filmed the encounters. Both women expressed feeling a sense of obligation during these prolonged sex marathons, often using mood-altering drugs to cope with the experiences, although Combs has denied these allegations.

### Awaiting Sentencing

Currently, Combs is in the Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits sentencing, set for Tuesday, July 8. His legal team has sought expedited sentencing to pursue a minimum sentence for the former billionaire.

In the aftermath of the trial, Combs’ lead attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated, “We’re not going to stop until he walks out of prison a free man to his family.”
