Sabrina Carpenter Unveils ‘Man’s Best Friend’ Album: What to Expect

Just hours before her album launch, Sabrina Carpenter offered listeners a heads-up: “This album isn’t for the faint of heart.” On Friday, the pop sensation unveiled her eagerly awaited seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend, designed to push boundaries.

Album and Track Details

The album kicks off with the debut single “Manchild” and wraps up with “Goodbye.” At midnight, the accompanying music video for the second track, “Tears,” was also released. Collaborators on this project include Carpenter herself, along with talents like Amy Allen, Jack Antonoff, and John Ryan.

Cover Art and Fan Engagement

Carpenter stirred up excitement when she shared the album art, portraying herself next to a figure in a suit who is tugging at her hair. Since then, she has revealed additional artwork for vinyl and cassette editions, jokingly referencing one as an “alternate cover approved by God.”

To celebrate the release, Carpenter hosted a fan event at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where she engaged with fans and addressed questions about the album, all before screening the classic Audrey Hepburn film Sabrina.

Creative Process Insight

Regarding her creative process, Carpenter shared that the album wasn’t crafted with the intent to outdo her previous work or recreate old themes. Reflecting on her past project, Short n’ Sweet, she remarked, “It was a magical gift; it resonated with me and so many others. It felt true and authentic, which is a rare alignment.”
