Following recent reports, RÜFÜS DU SOL has released a statement addressing an incident involving a woman who was assaulted at their concert in Los Angeles.

According to reports from the LA Times, a video circulating online depicts a man attacking a woman at the trio’s performance held at Rose Bowl Stadium. It shows him knocking her to the ground and repeatedly striking her. The victim responded to the video shared on the Festive Owl news outlet, stating: “This man punched me in the face, knocking me out and causing significant bleeding, while he continued attacking our group.”

The alleged assault occurred after the woman accidentally spilled a drink on the man. Although he initially walked away, he returned about 30 minutes later, reportedly shouting at her.

“I attempted to de-escalate the situation and apologized once more — the next thing I remember was waking up in a medical tent an hour later, missing the entire show,” she shared.

Other attendees expressed concern, claiming that “crowd control was nonexistent” at the Rose Bowl Stadium, causing many to feel unsafe.

In response, RÜFÜS DU SOL condemned the actions of the assailant. They stated, “Creating a safe environment for our fans to gather and celebrate is our priority. We are heartbroken to learn about the act of violence that occurred during the opening act on Saturday.”

They further emphasized, “Such behavior is entirely unacceptable anywhere, and it is devastating that it happened at one of our shows.”
