Robbie Williams Unveils New Album with Powerful Single “Spies”

Robbie Williams Unveils New Single "Spies"
Robbie Williams has made a triumphant return with his latest single, "Spies." This track comes ahead of the much-anticipated release of his new album, Britpop, slated for October 10.
A Deeper Look into "Spies"
Co-written with long-time collaborators Karl Brazil and Owen Parker, "Spies" offers a nostalgic glimpse into the past. Williams reflects on youthful moments with lines like, “We used to stay up all night/ Thinking we were all spies/ Praying that tomorrow won’t come.”
The Vision Behind Britpop
In a recent statement, Williams expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming album. “I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995,” he shared. He highlighted that Britpop captures the essence of a golden era for British music during the peak of Britpop. The record promises a raw sound characterized by more guitars and an upbeat, anthemic tone. “I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I’m excited for fans to hear this album,” he added.
Touring Across Europe and the U.K.
Williams announced Britpop in May alongside the single "Rocket," a collaboration with Black Sabbath’s Tommy Iommi. The album’s track list has also been revealed, featuring a song titled "Morrissey." Pre-orders for Britpop are available through Williams’ official channels.
As anticipation builds for the album’s release, Williams is currently touring Europe and the U.K. The Britpop Tour kicks off on July 21 in Berlin at Waldbühne. Other notable performances include the Come Together Festival in Newcastle and Aftersun Festival in Floriana, Malta.
