The film has been performing exceptionally well at the box office, generating significant revenue in its first three days. It increased its collections and audience turnout notably on Sunday, ensuring a strong opening weekend.

*Kantara Chapter 1* raked in ₹162.85 crore net domestically during its first three days. The film made an estimated ₹55 crore net on Saturday, marking a nearly 20% increase from Friday’s collection of ₹46 crore. By Sunday, it further escalated its earnings, amassing ₹59.66 crore net, which took its total domestic haul to ₹221.91 crore over the opening weekend.
As a period action drama, it showcased impressive occupancy rates, reaching 98-99% for the Kannada version’s afternoon and evening shows in Karnataka. It also performed remarkably well internationally, earning over $4 million within its first three days.
Kantara surpasses other major films
On Sunday, *Kantara Chapter 1* surpassed the total collections of several recent hits, including *Sitaare Zameen Par* (₹167 crore), *They Call Him OG* (₹179 crore), and *Lokah Chapter 1* (₹153 crore). Its most significant achievement was exceeding the domestic collection of *KGF Chapter 1* (₹185 crore), making it the third-highest-grossing Kannada film in India, following *KGF Chapter 2* (₹860 crore) and the original *Kantara* (₹310 crore).
