Raye Finds Stolen Car, Songwriting Books Safe: Stay Hopeful!
## Raye’s Journey: From Car Theft to New Beginnings
Raye is still on the quest to find her soulmate, a theme explored in her latest single, “Where Is My Husband.” However, she recently received good news regarding her stolen car that held her valuable songwriting books. Last October, she had to postpone her second studio album after this unfortunate event occurred right before her birthday.
### A Twist of Fate
About three months ago, Raye shared on the EE Official Big Top 40 From Global that the police contacted her with an unexpected update. They had located her car, and, to her relief, her songbooks were found intact.
“It was a roller coaster journey,” Raye reflected. “But the police called and said, ‘We found your car.’ Not only was the car returned, but everything inside was untouched.”
### Birthday Blues and New Horizons
Initially, Raye broke the news about her car theft on Instagram while celebrating her 27th birthday. She expressed her frustration humorously, stating, “It’s my birthday and my car got stolen with all my songwriting books in the boot, so no second album any time soon love you bye.” To mark the occasion, she had a cake that read “sorry ur car got stolen” in vibrant red frosting.
Now, as she turns 28, Raye feels rejuvenated and optimistic. She shared her birthday plans on Instagram, saying, “I’ll be spending it in the studio which is a bit sad isn’t it? Or beautiful. Bit of a loner these days but I don’t mind it at all. I’m writing a lot. Can’t wait to show you this music, just need to finish it all first.”
### A Triumphant Return
Coincidentally, Raye’s Saturn return aligns with both the recovery of her stolen songs and her return to performing live. In March, she will kick off her most significant North American tour, including headlining shows at Radio City Music Hall in New York and the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, her single “Where Is My Husband” continues to gain traction on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Everything ended well,” Raye concluded on Big Top 40. “Never give up hope.”
