Rasha Thadani Discusses Her Close Bond with Mom Raveena Tandon
Rasha Thadani discusses her evolving relationship with her mother, Raveena Tandon, following her debut in Azaad.
Rasha Thadani kicked off her acting career this year with the film Azaad. Now, she is diving into her second project, Laikey Laikaa, alongside Abhay Verma. Growing up as Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha has long been surrounded by the film industry. However, stepping into acting has deepened her understanding of both the art and her relationship with her mother.
At 20, Rasha explains, “Mom understands everything I experience, but she gives me the freedom to make my own choices. She encourages me to learn from my mistakes. Instead of dictating what I should do, she suggests her thoughts and ultimately tells me, ‘you do you.’ It means a lot to have that kind of support.” She’s aware that making mistakes is part of the learning journey.
Despite being recognized as Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha is focused on establishing her identity in the industry. “People don’t want to see the same person repeatedly,” she shares. Her goal is to be herself, continually improving and refining her craft, while ensuring she remains authentic in a world where it’s easy to mimic others.
Rasha underscores the importance of individuality among actors. “If you observe performers now and back in the ’90s, there’s a unique trait to each of them. The difference makes each one intriguing,” she notes, comparing herself to stars like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone, who shine in their distinct ways. “As an actor, you aim to be the best version of yourself,” she emphasizes.
How do you think Rasha will continue to grow and adapt in her acting career?
