In January 2023, Randeep Hooda and director Syed Ahmad Afzal officially announced the sequel titled "Laal Rang 2." This sequel aims to build on the legacy of its predecessor, promising a more expansive and enhanced storyline focused on the rivalry between two gangs involved in blood theft.

The film, however, has faced delays. Shortly after its announcement, it was put on hold, as discussions regarding potential studio partnerships were underway. Randeep teased fans about script reading sessions with the director through social media in February 2023, but it appears the project is still not progressing as hoped.

Randeep’s Thoughts on the Delay

When asked about the cause of the delay in an exclusive interview, Randeep expressed his desire for the film to be done with integrity. He stated, "It is one of my favorite movies as well. I would love to do that film but not in a half-hearted way… We are looking for proper partners to come on board and do justice to the first part, which is not less than a cult."

"Laal Rang 2" will also feature prominent actors Pia Bajpiee and Akshay Oberoi in significant roles, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.
