Rajesh Kumar Reflects on Their Last Conversation
After the news of Satish’s passing, Rajesh shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, reminiscing about their last talk. He highlighted a recent photo of Shah, sporting a new look with grey hair and a moustache.
In his post, Rajesh wrote, “We spoke about this look just days ago. Dad, you promised you’d return. I never imagined you’d leave us like this. I miss you and regret delaying our meeting.”
He ended his tribute, saying, “You changed RIP into RIH forever. Rest in humor, Dad. I’ll try to smile like you always did.” The duo shared the screen in *Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai* from 2004 to 2006 and reunited in 2017.
The Return to Acting That Never Was
Satish found himself away from the spotlight after 2014, making a brief appearance in the *Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai* revival three years later. His final project was the web series *United Kacche*, released in 2023. He once voiced his desire to step back into acting. “I’ve taken a long sabbatical,” Satish remarked in 2023, emphasizing his preference for enjoying the craft.
“I stopped enjoying it for a while, so I thought I’d refresh myself before returning. I’m not in a rush to die,” he had added. Unfortunately, that aspiration remained unfulfilled.
