Rajat Bedi Shares Daughter Vera’s Struggles Amid Comparisons to Celebrities
Rajat Bedi addresses the challenges faced by his daughter Vera amidst comparisons to Bollywood stars Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai.
Actor Rajat Bedi, known for his role in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, has recently opened up regarding his daughter, Vera Bedi. She has found herself in the spotlight, leading to her being compared to prominent stars like Kareena Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai. During an interview with Instant Bollywood, Rajat discussed how Vera is dealing with these unexpected comparisons.
Vera Bedi’s Reaction to Fame
When Rajat was asked about how Vera has been handling her newfound fame, he expressed concern. He stated, “She feels quite overwhelmed and also scared. There was a day when she found it hard to focus on her work, exclaiming, ‘Papa, people are creating AI images of me, inaccurate images. Some are making posts likening me to Aishwarya and Kareena, saying I could overshadow ten Aishwaryas or Kareenas.’”
He emphasized the importance of respecting his children’s image, urging people not to generate AI-generated portrayals of them. “It’s inappropriate. While she’s happy, she isn’t comfortable with how these images are portrayed. There are numerous fan pages dedicated to her and my son,” Rajat added.
Interestingly, Rajat’s son, Vivaan Bedi, has his aspirations in Bollywood and worked as an assistant director on the same series. However, Vera remains uncertain about pursuing a career in the film industry.
About Rajat Bedi
Rajat Bedi hails from a film-oriented family, being the son of director-producer Narendra Bedi. He entered Bollywood in 1998 with his debut in 2001: Do Hazaar Ek but gained fame as Raj Saxena in the 2003 film Koi… Mil Gaya, where he starred opposite Hrithik Roshan as the antagonist.
His filmography is rich with notable works, including titles like Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani, Kyun… Ho Gaya Na!, Rocky – The Rebel, and Partner. Beyond Hindi cinema, Rajat has been versatile, featuring in Punjabi and South Indian films.
Most recently, he appeared in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, which satirizes the film industry and features a star-studded cast. It’s now available for streaming on Netflix.
