In response to their sentencing, the members’ legal team firmly rejected the charges, asserting that the proceedings were entrenched in political motivations. “The full-scale war against Ukraine has been going on for more than three years,” Burkot stated. She believes strongly that Ukraine deserves victory and that Putin should be held accountable in The Hague.
