Insights from Priyamani
In her discussion about pay equity, Priyamani noted, “It is true that disparities exist. However, I believe it’s crucial to ask for what you are worth based on your market value. At times, I earned less than my male co-stars, but that doesn’t trouble me. I recognize my worth, and I will request what I believe is fair, without seeking unnecessary increases.”
She further highlighted differences in commitment to punctuality between northern and southern film industries. According to her, “In the South, crews typically begin on time. If we say we’ll start at 8 am, we do. In contrast, I’ve observed more leniency with timings in other regions.”
Her Upcoming Projects
Recently, Priyamani was featured in the Malayalam thriller *Officer on Duty* and Revathy’s adaptation of *The Good Wife*. She will also star in *Jana Nayagan*, set to be Vijay’s final film before his political retirement.
Additionally, she is set to appear alongside Manoj Bajpayee in the third season of *The Family Man*, a series created by Raj and DK, featuring a stellar cast. Fans can catch it soon on Prime Video.
