Pradeep Ranganathan’s Love Insurance Kompany avoids Diwali clash with Dude, postpones release date
Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude will release on October 17, while LIK is now postponed two months later, and will be out on December 18.
Pradeep Ranganathan was initially looking to deliver a special Diwali experience with two films. However, the production teams realized this approach might not be the best strategy. Originally scheduled for October, both *Love Insurance Kompany* (LIK) and *Dude* decided to clarify their release dates. While *Dude* remains on track, *LIK* has shifted to December.
Two Pradeep Ranganathan films were initially set for release during Diwali.
LIK release date postponed
In an announcement shared on their X account, the production team of LIK stated, “Like two trains on the same track, a head-on collision helps no one. Genuine concern for our beloved hero Pradeep Ranganathan and respect for the efforts behind both films led us to thoughtfully choose to reschedule LIK’s release to December 18, 2025.”
They further elaborated, “Despite our best attempts to coordinate with Mythri Movies, a mutual agreement couldn’t be reached. We believe it would be more beneficial for both films to shine without overlapping each other. Our heartfelt wishes go to Pradeep Ranganathan and the entire *Dude* team for a joyful Diwali and great success at the box office.”
*Dude* features Mamitha Baiju alongside Pradeep, with music by Sai Abhyankkar. The lead track, *Oorum Blood*, has already gone viral on social media. This film marks the directorial debut of Keerthiswaran, though the plot details remain under wraps. The cast also includes R. Sarathkumar, Hridhu Haroon, and Rohini.
On the other hand, in *LIK*, Pradeep shares the screen with Krithi Shetty in a futuristic romantic comedy set in 2040, produced by Nayanthara.
