The Port Fairy Folk Festival has revealed its initial lineup for the upcoming 49th edition.
This beloved event will take place in the beautiful coastal village of Port Fairy, Victoria, during the Labour Day long weekend from March 6 to 9, 2026.
Exciting International Acts
Among the confirmed international artists are Åkervinda, a Swedish vocal quartet celebrated for their synthesis of ancient Nordic folk and contemporary harmonies. English singer-songwriter Blair Dunlop is also set to perform. Irish music will be represented by the diverse group Beoga, jazz and folk singer Mary Coughlan—returning for her fourth festival—and rising star Gráinne Hunt.
Special Guests
In an exciting addition, The Swell Season, featuring Markéta Irglová and Glen Hansard, will make a rare appearance. Known for their Academy Award-winning song “Falling Slowly” from the film *Once,* their performance is sure to be a highlight of the weekend.
More International Guests
Additional international artists include Scotland’s Elephant Sessions, the American act Iron & Wine, Canadian performers Mia Kelly and Steve Poltz, the Portuguese-Canadian singer Nico Paulo, the Swedish trio Northern Resonance, Icelandic folk musician Svavar Knútur, and the American vocal group Windborne.
Notable Australian Artists
So far, the lineup features Australian talents like Emma Donovan with her new project *Take Me To The River,* esteemed songwriters Felicity Urquhart and Josh Cunningham, and the Melbourne duo Pierce Brothers, who are making a return to the festival.
“This first lineup truly captures the essence of Port Fairy—global, diverse, and centered on the joy of live music,” shared Program Director Justin Rudge.
