Pierce Brothers Reveal New Single and Upcoming Fourth Album Release
Upcoming Album: Moonrise
Australian folk duo Pierce Brothers are set to release their fourth studio album, Moonrise, on November 28th. The album is led by the new single “I Will Love You,” which reflects their signature style.
Collaboration and Production
The album is co-produced by brothers Jack and Patrick Pierce, along with their long-time friend and collaborator, Phil Threlfall. This collaboration promises to deliver a collection rich in storytelling and emotional depth.
New Single Release
“I Will Love You” follows on the heels of other singles such as “Run Around The Lake,” “Losing Friends When You’re Older,” and “Alaska Alaska.” These tracks give fans a glimpse into what they can expect from the new album. This swift follow-up to 2024’s Everything Is Bigger Than Me comes after an extensive touring schedule for the duo.
Jack shared insights into their creative process, stating, “We started working on this album around November last year. With a tour in Europe on the horizon, we knew we needed new music, and it pushed us to meet our goal.”
The Essence of "I Will Love You"
“I Will Love You” is a powerful anthem filled with acoustic charm and stirring vocals. Jack describes the song as capturing their energetic live performances, with influences reminiscent of the new folk revival popularized by bands like Mumford & Sons.
A Message of Empowerment
The track serves as a driving ode to self-love, delivering poignant narratives about mental wellbeing. Jack revealed that the song was created for a special project, specifically for the Outback Mind Foundation’s documentary When The Dust Settles, focusing on men’s mental health in Australia.
“It was a privilege to write this song alongside such a meaningful initiative,” Jack remarked. “The simple line, ‘I will love you,’ serves not just as a love song, but also as a reminder to practice self-love, especially on our darkest days.”
Album Launch and Performance
In anticipation of the album’s release, Pierce Brothers will host intimate launch shows in Victoria next month. These events will provide fans with an exciting opportunity to engage with the band during live performances and Q&A sessions.
