Director Sujeeth’s action-packed film *They Call Him OG* has exceeded expectations at the box office, amassing ₹154 crore in just six days, despite facing mixed reviews.
After premiering on September 24, the film officially hit theaters on September 25. It saw notable revenue growth, particularly on its sixth day, where it earned approximately ₹6.7 crore, pushing its total earnings to ₹154 crore for the week.
Box Office Breakdown
The film began with ₹21 crore from paid previews and saw a remarkable opening day collection of ₹63.75 crore. However, as often happens with south Indian action films, it experienced a significant drop of 71% on the second day to ₹18.45 crore. The weekend revenues remained stable at around ₹18.5 crore each day, but dips occurred thereafter, with collections hitting ₹7.4 crore on Monday and ₹6.7 crore on Tuesday.
Occupancy Report
Audience attendance varied across different regions. Warangal took the lead with 46% occupancy, followed closely by Kakinada at 45% and Karimnagar at 35.67%. Other notable markets included Vijayawada (23.33%) and Vizag (28%), while Hyderabad contributed a smaller share at 19%. Chennai and Bengaluru recorded 14.67% and 8.67%, respectively. Most viewers favored afternoon and evening screenings, leading to lower turnout during late-night shows.

Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan’s brother, expressed his admiration for the film’s direction and performances. He described *They Call Him OG* as a high-caliber gangster film, comparable to Hollywood productions.
