Parkway Drive Aims for Epic Stadium Shows with Unforgettable Performances

Parkway Drive has achieved remarkable milestones throughout their journey and is setting ambitious new goals. Their ambitious target? Taking their electrifying shows to stadiums.
Not too long ago, this Byron Bay metalcore band believed they had hit their peak in Australia. However, that changed in 2019 when they headlined the Good Things Festival. By 2024, they will have completed a sold-out arena tour, marking their most extensive run in the country.
Recently, the band performed at the Sydney Opera House, creating what attendees called “the loudest show” ever held at the iconic venue. They are also preparing for the local debut of their Park Waves festival.
Road to Stadium Shows
“The idea of Parkway Drive playing stadiums is thrilling. After witnessing our capabilities in an arena, you can only imagine the spectacle in a larger venue,” lead vocalist Winston McCall shared enthusiastically.
“When it eventually happens—and it’s a matter of when, not if—it’s going to be absolutely mental. I understand what it takes for a band to successfully transition to stadium-level performances,” he elaborated.
This transition requires significant risks and immense creativity. “It’s a different ballgame from performing in arenas, and I have the guts to dive into it,” he added.
Upcoming Projects
The timeline for these stadium shows remains uncertain. In addition to the Park Waves festival in early 2026, Parkway Drive plans to release a live album and film showcasing their Opera House performance, with more new music on the way.
Make no mistake—Parkway Drive’s aspiration to perform in stadiums is very much alive.
“I’m the loudest advocate within the band, passionately urging, ‘Before we reach our last days, we have to make this happen. It’s going to be such an incredible experience,” McCall emphasized.
He reflected on their journey, saying, “Imagine telling everyone that you saw us at Bateau Bay and now we’re rocking Suncorp Stadium—it’s a story worth telling.”
