Ozzy Osbourne’s Final Curtain Call
Ozzy Osbourne is preparing to bid farewell to his fans once more. His last performance with Black Sabbath will be featured in an upcoming concert film titled Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow, set to hit theatres in early 2026. This marks a significant moment in the life of the legendary artist.
A Glimpse into the Concert Film
Produced by Mercury Studios, this film is touted as a “distilled version” of an extensive event that spanned 10 hours. It showcased performances from a lineup that included Mastodon, Alice in Chains, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica, and many others. The film will condense the highlights, featuring Osbourne’s final solo act and his last set with Black Sabbath into a concise 100-minute presentation.
In addition to the live performances, Back to the Beginning will also offer behind-the-scenes glimpses from the Villa Park concert grounds and feature interviews with several guest artists who contributed to the event.
Star-Studded Lineup and New Releases
Hosted by Jason Momoa, the event brought together iconic artists like Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler, and Pantera, along with notable performances from Tool’s Danny Carey, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith. Excitingly, ahead of the film’s release, Yungblud will unveil a standalone single of his live performance of “Changes” from the concert.
Ozzy’s Journey Ahead: A New Memoir
Although Osbourne is stepping away from the stage, he remains a storyteller. Recently, he announced a memoir entitled Last Rites, set to be published on October 7 through Grand Central Publishing. The book will focus on the health challenges he has faced over the past seven years, which ultimately influenced his decision to retire from live performances.
In his own words, Osbourne reflected on his journey: “People say to me, if you could do it all again, knowing what you know now, would you change anything? I’m like, fuck no. If I’d been clean and sober, I wouldn’t be Ozzy… I’ve seen a lot of things. I’ve done good… and I’ve done bad. But right now, I’m not ready to go anywhere.”
