Ozzy Osbourne’s Adoptee Embraces a Peaceful Life in New Zealand

Ozzy Osbourne’s adopted son is reportedly leading a tranquil life in New Zealand, far removed from the public eye.
Life in New Zealand
Elliott Osbourne, along with his wife, Dr. Joanne Crawford—an academic in health and safety at Victoria University—relocated to Wellington from the UK five years ago.
Family Background
Elliott, the adoptive son of Ozzy and his first wife, Thelma Riley, was taken in by the rock legend when he was just five years old. Ozzy and Thelma later had two more children, Jessica and Louis. Unlike Ozzy’s children with Sharon, Elliott and his siblings have generally stayed away from the public arena.
Ozzy’s Marital History
After his marriage to Thelma ended in 1982, Ozzy married Sharon Aeden, his manager, the same year.
Ozzy’s Health Struggles
Ozzy Osbourne faced a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s disease leading up to his passing. Following his death, a statement from the family only mentioned four of his children: Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis, leaving out Elliott and Jessica.
Reports indicate that Elliott has generally kept a low-profile life, working as an IT technician. Despite the public interest, not much information is available about his relationship with his famous father.
Documentary Insights
In a 2011 documentary directed by Jack Osbourne, Ozzy admitted he struggled with memories of his children’s early years. Louis recalled that when Ozzy was sober, he could be a great father, but those moments were few.
He shared, “I just have a lot of memories of him being drunk… It’s not good for family life, really.” Jessica echoed similar sentiments, stating that she didn’t remember significant parental moments like sports days or school events.
Early Life and Education
Growing up in Birmingham, Elliott attended King Edward VI High School in Stafford and previously studied at Birmingham College.
Despite maintaining a low profile, Elliott seems to cherish his family life with his wife and two sons, Owyn and James. They’ve made their home in New Zealand, having previously lived in the UK until 2002.
