Nikki Sixx Reveals Health Concerns Prevented Mötley Crüe's Ozzy Farewell Show

## Health Concerns Keep Mötley Crüe from Ozzy Osbourne’s Farewell Show

Mötley Crüe’s bassist, Nikki Sixx, recently revealed that health issues were the main reason the band did not attend Ozzy Osbourne’s farewell concert in Birmingham, England. This event showcased numerous rock icons, including Metallica and Slayer, making their absence notable.

### Sixx’s Response to Fans

When fans inquired about their absence, Sixx addressed the situation on X, stating, “We have been having health issues within the band…” His comments emphasized the serious nature of the health struggles they have been facing, although he did not provide specific details.

### Prioritizing Health at 66

In a follow-up post, Sixx shared insights about his dedication to maintaining his health. Despite some past challenges, he humorously noted that “this 66-year-old pirate ship looks ready to set sail.” He expressed the importance of being cautious with his work at this stage in his life.

“I work HARD and I’m not interested in dying from work and BS STRESS,” he asserted. Sixx reflected on his cherished family, including a loving wife, five children, and a granddaughter, emphasizing that he wouldn’t jeopardize this beautiful life for past indulgences.

### Vocal Health of Vince Neil

It’s also worth noting that Sixx’s remarks may be related to a recent vocal ailment faced by their lead singer, Vince Neil. Earlier this year, the band postponed their Las Vegas residency due to Neil needing a vocal procedure, although details were not disclosed at the time.

“My health is my top priority so I can bring you the awesome shows you deserve,” Neil expressed, thanking fans for their unwavering support.
