Momma Gears Up for First-Ever Australian Tour Announcement

The Brooklyn-based band Momma is gearing up for their first Australian tour, scheduled for January 2026. This tour is presented by Frontier Touring and Penny Drop, kicking off at Brisbane’s Crowbar, followed by stops at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne’s Max Watts.
Led by dynamic duo Etta Friedman and Allegra Weingarter, Momma has emerged as a compelling voice within the indie-rock scene. Their latest album, Welcome to My Blue Sky, released in April, has garnered considerable attention.
Exploring Themes in Their Music
The album captures a “parallel chaos,” fleshing out the transformative experiences that shaped the lives of the band members during a pivotal summer. Produced by bassist Aron Kobayashi Ritch and featuring Preston Fulks on drums, this fourth LP reflects the tumult and revelations faced by the singer-songwriter duo during a whirlwind tour in mid-2022.
Each track, particularly the standout single “I Want You (Fever),” has a distinctive sound that showcases their sensitivity and keen self-awareness. This bold approach marks a significant evolution for one of the most innovative acts in indie rock.
Excitement for Australia
“We are thrilled about our upcoming trip to Australia next year! It’s been on our radar for a long time, and we can’t wait to meet everyone,” shared Momma regarding their much-anticipated tour.
Joining them will be the Melbourne-based duo, Armlock, as special guests.
